SCHOLARSHIP FOR MASTERS IN GLOBAL MEDIA & COMMUNICATIONS

DEADLINE: 31 MARCH 2021

The MSC in Global Media and Communication is a unique double degree that allows students to study for one year at the London School of Economics in London, and one year at the University of Cape Town. Students will be trained to examine the intersection of media and globalisation from an African vantage point. Students will gain an understanding of global media and communications in an African context and African media and communications in a global context. In our increasingly globalised world, international experience gained on one of our global programmes is invaluable and provides an excellent knowledge and experience base to work from.

There are two scholarships available for this program for African residents. The scholarship award covers the first year of study at LSE and students are expected to self-fund the second year of study at UCT. The award covers the value of full fees at LSE, plus living costs at £1,200 per month in London.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The minimum entry requirement for this program is an upper second class honours (2:1) degree or equivalent in social science, or a degree in another field with professional experience in media and communications. In addition, you need to submit your academic transcript, statement of academic purpose, two academic references and your CV.
