ESWATINI STEM FOUNDATION PROGRAMS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

GIRLS IN TECH DREAM FACTORY

Girls aged 13 years to 16 years who are currently in Grade 7, Form 1 or Form 3, who live in Simunye, Manzini and Mbabane are invited to apply for the 2023 Girls in Tech program. Members of this club will prepare for and participate in the following global competitions:


  1. Entrepreneurship App Development: Technovation Girls and Diamond Challenge (USA)

  2. Robotics Program: First Tech Challenge, First Global and World Robot Olympiad



TECHNO LIONS STEM CLUB

Boys and girls aged between 13 years and 16 years who live in Simunye, Manzini and Mbabane are invited to apply for the Techno Lions Stem Club. Members of this club will prepare for and participate in the following global competitions:

  1. Entrepreneurship App Development: Diamond Challenge (USA)

  2. Robotics Program: First Tech Challenge, First Global and World Robot Olympiad



HOW TO APPLY

To apply to either of these program, send a 30 second video on whatsapp which must contain the following information:

- Your Name, Age, Gender, School, Home area,

- Your ambitions - likes, dislikes, passion, priorities, etc.,

- End with giving a reason why you should be part of Girls In Tech or I-STEM Club, that is, what do you hope to achieve or contribute to the program

Interviews Invitation will be sent to selected applicants only - then follow with the Registration Form. For more information email stemproject@stem.org.sz.



TECHNOVATION HUB ESWATINI

Grade 7, Form 1 and Form 3 students who are between 13 years to 18 years are invited to apply for the Technovation Hub Eswatini program. Participation in this program is free, and the requirement is to be available every Saturday from January - June 2023 to attend training. The theme for 2023 is Carbon Capture, and participants will:


  1. Design, build and program and REV robot to capture, store, transport and sink CO 2 equivalent molecules

  2. Design, build, program and launch a Cubesat prototype into the lower layers of the earth’s atmosphere

  3. Learn about and then design tech-based solutions to local climate change problems

  4. Plan and activate a climate change and stem outreach program for your communities
