The Mastercard Foundation, in partnership with Arizona State University, is offering scholarships for professional certificates. These flexible, self-paced online programs empower you to build in-demand skills in global management or supply chain management, all while earning ASU credits that can be applied toward a future master’s degree. Participants who obtain the academic certificate will be automatically entered into the Scholarship application process for fully-funded online Master's degrees.

  1. Thunderbird School of Global Management: Graduate Certificate in Global Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (10 months)

    4. Data Analytics & Digital Transformation

    5. Global Marketing in a Digital Age


Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship will cover full tuition for the ASU Self-Study Certificate, offering a flexible, online format. It also includes 1:1 coaching and mentorship, access to ASU resources, and the opportunity to earn transferable ASU credits that can be applied toward a master’s degree. Select participants will be supported through the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program to pursue master’s degree programs at no cost.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be a citizen of an African country committed to ethical leadership and demonstrated engagement in their community.

  • Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 33 on or before the application deadline.

  • Applicants must demonstrate a track record of leadership and service in their community.

  • Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence and ambitions that exceed one's financial resources.

  • Applicants must have earned an undergraduate degree conferred by July 2025.  

  • Applicants must not have started or completed other graduate or masters degrees before August 2025.
