In celebration of International Women’s Day 2023, ALX is running its first-ever cohort for women. Boost your skills with Africa's leading Software Engineering programme and launch your career in one of the most exciting and in-demand fields on the planet.


SCHOLARSHIP

ALX's partnership with Mastercard Foundation allows them to offer eligible candidates access to world-class programme training at no cost. Meeting our eligibility requirements will give you access to an internationally recognised certified programme and, through The ROOM, a community of fellow future female change-makers as you build your career in tech.


PROGRAM DETAILS

  • 12 months, 70 hours/week commitment

  • Access to a desktop or laptop

  • Access to a stable internet connection

  • Must be of African origin

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English

  • Women between 18-34 years of age

  • Commitment and determination


What you’ll learn

  • Problem-solve using coding and other forms of technology.

  • Develop design systems and gather information on project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.

  • Model a system or application to help developers write the code that is needed.

  • Calculate, recommend, and plan computer specifications, layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications through analysis and recommendation.

  • Analyse system capabilities and requirements by storing, retrieving, and manipulating data.
