Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (MCFSP at KNUST) has a goal is to raise the next generation of ethical and transformative leaders who would influence positive forward-looking changes in their respective home countries specifically and on the African Continent as a whole.

MCFSP at KNUST provides comprehensive scholarships for access to quality university education to QUALIFIED academically talented, yet economically disadvantaged young people in Ghana and Africa.
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program offers an opportunity for her scholars to receive holistic training that empowers them to become effective change leaders. Scholarship Package

Entry Requirements for KNUST
GCE/IGCSE (CAMBRIDGE) ‘A’ & ‘O’ LEVELS/MATURE APPLICANTS Holders of GCE/IGCSE must have FIVE credits at the ‘O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics (or its approved equivalent), plus passes in at least THREE (3) subjects at the Advanced Level/Three Credits in the case of mature applicants. In addition, the applicant must fulfil the appropriate Faculty or Departmental requirements.
The University shall request an evaluation of results/Certificate other than those mentioned above, (a) to (f), from the Ghana Tertiary Commission (GTEC) and/or other International Credential Evaluation Agency to facilitate the determination of the suitability of the applicant for admission.
Applicants from other universities (local and international) who are seeking admission to continue their programme are required to submit official transcript, high school results and a cover letter through the Deputy Registrar, Academic Affairs (admissions@knust.edu.gh), or the International Programmes Office (ipo@knust.edu.gh) to the Head of Department.
Scholarship Application
Please note that there is a separate application form for the scholarship, however there is no application fee.
At the time of application, all prospective candidates must have completed EGCSE / IGCSE / A ‘Levels / matric / IEB
Supply recommendation letters for:
Academics (from head teacher / or deputy)
Religious
Community (chief or community leader)
Any other relevant one
The candidates must further meet KNUST’s Admission Requirements. The scholarship is awarded contingent on the premise that the applicant is successfully admitted into a program at KNUST.
International applicants are instructed to visit the same address and select the option for International students only.
NO AWAITING RESULTS candidate will be processed for the scholarship.
The Applicant must demonstrate that he/she has Critical Economic Needs.
The Applicant must have Proven Records of Leadership and Community Engagement(s).
Priority shall be given to female applicants, displaced Persons (Certified Refugees, Internally Displaced Persons, etc.), and Persons with Disability
The Applicant must be prepared to Go-Back and Give-Back to his or her Community.
The Applicant must NOT be enrolled in any tertiary institution.
