2025 Taiwan MOFA Scholarship: Undergrad & Postgrad Studies

The Embassy of the R.O.C (Taiwan) is delighted to announce the availability of the MOFA scholarship.


APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Applicants have to apply for the MOFA scholarship and Taiwan’s university separately.

2. Applicants can apply to more than one university, but must specify the first choice on the scholarship application form.

3. The application form can be downloaded at https://reurl.cc/nZWdvD 

4. Required documents:

(1) A completed application form

(2) a copy of passport

(3) a copy of the highest level certificate and academic transcripts certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

(4) two reference letters from former school or job or one from each

(5) a document to certify the application to an educational institution or a Mandarin learning center, such as a note of reply or email from the educational institution.

5. Requirements for university admissions: Please refer to each university’s website for details.





PLEASE NOTE: Application forms with other required documents have to be delivered to the Embassy 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝟏𝟐𝐩𝐦 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟑𝟏.


SELECTING A COURSE OF STUDY:

Interested candidates can check the list of Universities Providing Degree Programs Taught in English or can refer to https://www.studyintaiwan.org/ to find out universities in Taiwan with different programs. Please make sure to check if the chosen program is taught in English. Select a university of your choice and go to that university’s website and apply directly before the deadline.





𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧:

Before pursuing a degree, applicants can choose to spend one year learning Mandarin. This is optional but it is encouraged to learn basic Mandarin before pursuing degrees. The list of Mandarin learning centers can be accessed via https://reurl.cc/qnaGxN.


𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩:

4 years for undergraduate programs; 2 years for Masters and 4 years for PhD programs.
