STUDENT LIFE

As an NTU student, you will be spending the majority of your time on the Main Campus. Located in the heart of Taipei on 113 hectares, the Main Campus offers a comprehensive university experience for students. There are academic buildings, libraries, sports facilities, dormitories, restaurants, convenience stores, and even an experimental farm. You will have access to everything you need on campus as an NTU student. Furthermore, the campus’s central location in Taipei means that you also have easy access to the entirety of Taipei, and even Taiwan.

International students are prioritized for on-campus housing. There are several options and each dormitory provides a different experience. You can choose to live alone or have as many as 3 roommates. Furthermore, you can play pool workout, hang out in the lounge and more in the public areas of the dormitories.

There are a variety of dining options on campus. There are cafeterias near the dormitories and convenience stores are scattered through campus. NTU also has fast food chains like McDonald’s, MOS Burger, and KFC on-campus, with additional 10% discounts for NTU students. The vast array of choices of food on NTU campus and nearby means there is something for everyone.

With more than 400 student clubs, covering interests from business consulting to balloon art, NTU is a place to meet like-minded friends from Taiwan and beyond. If none of these clubs catch your eye, there is always the option of starting your own club. Many international students join cultural clubs where they find support and friendships. The NTU African Students Association is one to consider. These clubs participate in the annual NTU World Carnival Festival where they showcase cuisine and traditions from their home countries.

The NTU International Mentorship Program is a tailor-made summer internship program that connects international students with companies in Taiwan. It welcomes students from all backgrounds, including STEM subjects, business, and the humanities.

The NTU Career Center provides career aptitude assessments and consultation services and holds on-campus career fairs to connect students with recruiters each spring.
