10 POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP TO STUDY IN CANADA

The McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill are Canada’s first comprehensive, leadership-driven scholarships for master’s and professional degree studies. The scholarship program brings together a diverse group of scholars who aspire to lead with purpose – those who have demonstrated leadership potential and an inner drive to make a positive impact in other peoples’ lives.


The McCall MacBain Scholarship is a full postgraduate scholarship to study at McGill University in Canada, that provides students with the mentorship, interdisciplinary learning, and global community they need to accelerate their impact on the world.


McGill University is one of Canada's best-known institutions of higher learning and one of the leading universities in the world. International students from more than 150 countries make up nearly 30% of McGill's student body ‒ the highest proportion of any Canadian research university.


SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

The McCall MacBain Scholarship covers tuition and fees for an eligible master’s program or a second-entry professional undergraduate program at McGill as well as a living stipend of $2,000 CAD per month during academic terms. Scholars also participate in an intensive leadership development program, connect with mentors and advisors, and participate in a breadth of workshops and talks.


The McCall MacBain Scholarship covers over 150 different master’s programs and 3 second-entry professional undergraduate programs at McGill’s downtown and Macdonald campuses. The program must be pursued full-time and consist of 45 credits or more. See this overview of eligible programs.

McCall MacBain Scholarship applicants must apply separately and be admitted to their desired graduate program(s) at McGill. Please visit the McGill Graduate Admissions website to review program requirements.

ELIGIBILITY

The minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is 3.0 out of a possible 4.0


PROGRAM DETAILS

This scholarship comes with a development program:

  1. Leadership development: As part of a cohort of scholars from different fields, you’ll participate in an intensive leadership development curriculum, including seminars with case studies, to help you better tackle complex challenges and deepen your impact. Together, you’ll develop your understanding of yourself, of others, and of the systems that affect us all.


  1. Personal advisor: Every scholar is matched with a supportive and experienced mentor, a professional coach, and advisors. During your studies, these individuals will challenge you to reach your goals and help you set new ones. They can also introduce you to a broader network of people who can advise you on specific problems and on next steps after your degree.


  1. Further training and workshops: In addition to developing your leadership skills, you’ll have opportunities to expand your knowledge and feed your curiosity. You can tailor your McCall MacBain Scholar experience, selecting from a breadth of workshops and talks. You and your peers will help set the agenda for these activities and have the option to share your own savoir-faire with one another.
